On the occasion of Pesaro, Italian Capital of Culture 2024, from 12 to 14 June, the 3rd edition of the International Festival of health and safety at work took place at the Metaurense hall of the prefecture of Pesaro and Urbino.

The event, organized by the Rubes Triva Foundation, was sponsored by the European Commission, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, the Ministry of Culture, the Marche region, the municipality of Pesaro, Pesaro 2024, Inail and the ITC.

One of the main objectives of the festival was to promote adequate training and disseminate information on workplace safety.

To support these aims, the “Safety Love” concert was held last June 11th in Piazza del Popolo. Ten artists, including Neri Marcorè, Piero Pelù, Malika Ayane and Edoardo Bennato, performed during the event, transmitting the principles of the “Urbino Charter” through music. The show involved over 5,000 spectators and will be broadcast on July 13th on Rai 1, in the late evening.

The prefect of Pesaro and Urbino, Emanuela Saveria Greco, declared: «We were happy to be able to host the Festival here in the city, on the occasion of Pesaro Italian Capital of Culture 2024. The objective is to raise awareness among citizens on a very as important and delicate as safety in the workplace is and music is certainly the best tool to involve as many people as possible.”

The festival represented an important opportunity for reflection on the protection of the health, safety and well-being of workers, helping to create greater awareness of professional risks and the importance of correct training.
