Aosta: the cost of the shopping cart rises again

In May 2024 the consumer price index for the entire national community (NIC) relating to the cmunicipality of Aosta recorded a change equal to +0.2% compared to April and a change of -0.6% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Compared to the previous month, the spending divisions that showed the most significant increases in May compared to April were those relating to: food products and non-alcoholic drinks (+1.3)recreation, entertainment and culture (+0.7), housing, water, electricity and fuels (+0.6), health services and health expenditure (+0.3).

The following spending divisions decreased: communications (-1.1), transport (-0.6), accommodation and restaurant services (-0.2), furniture, household items and services (-0.2) , alcoholic beverages and tobacco (-0.2). The following remain unchanged: clothing and footwear, education.

The trend variations of price indices of spending divisions (those calculated compared to the same month of the previous year) see those relating to: education (+11.8), food products and non-alcoholic beverages (+2.7) at the top of the ranking of the spending divisions recording increasing changes , hospitality and restaurant services (+2.6), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+2.4), transport (+2.2), health services and health expenditure (+1.5), other goods and services (+1.4), recreation, entertainment and culture (+1.2), clothing and footwear (+0.7).

The following spending divisions decreased: housing, water, electricity and fuels (-13.8), communications (-6.3), furniture, household items and services (-0.7).
