Illness in the swimming pool, very serious child. All the Grests of the diocese united in prayer

Sickness in the pool for a little girl from Grest of the Diocese of Cremona, parish of Caravaggio, who is now hospitalized in serious conditions at the Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital in Bergamo. The little girl was with the grest group at the Aquaneva water park in Inzago, when she suddenly felt ill.

The news was broken by the Diocese of Cremona, which launched a prayer chain to unite all the Grest of the diocese with the community of Caravaggio. The invitation came directly from the bishop Antonio Napolionithrough the Federation of Orators, arrived on the afternoon of Monday 17 June in all the Oratories of the diocese so that children and young people, together with their families and animators, could offer their support in prayer.

The dynamics of the events that led the little girl to be rescued in the swimming pool and transported by air ambulance to the Bergamo hospital in very serious conditions are still under investigation.

Bishop Antonio Napolioni, who was visiting some Grests in Pastoral Zone 1, upon hearing the news, remained in constant contact with the Parish and in the afternoon he joined the Grest group returning from Inzago to share a moment of reflection with the boys and prayer, thus concretely expressing one’s closeness to the family, the priests and the entire community.

Therefore the invitation addressed to all the Oratories of the diocese so that every Grest unites in prayer in this difficult moment, in which everyone is following the evolution of the situation with apprehension.

On the evening of Monday 17 June the Caravaggio community met in the courtyard of the new San Luigi oratory to pray the Rosary together.
