The 2023-2024 season ends on June 30th and at Rugby Benevento the time has come to take stock but also to think about the future. “The sporting result of the first team was not good and is clear for all to see” explained president Rosario Palumbo. “But this is sport, relegations are part of the game and the results on the pitch must always be accepted. However, the company thanks all the athletes who fought for the jersey this season and is ready to look to the future. I thank the technical director Alessandro Valente for his dedication to the role and for having created from nothing a women’s group that today has over 30 athletes.
We work to strengthen all aspects of the company, from common areas to the technical sector. In recent weeks, many people have approached us who want to help us and we are happy to welcome them.
We have – continues Palumbo – already identified the coaches who will take care of minirugby and youth teams next season. Instead, there is a different project in the pipeline for the under 18s, but we will reveal it when it becomes concrete. As regards the first team, there is the reconfirmation of Fusco, because we believe it is very important to give continuity to the project started twelve months ago and linked above all to young people.
Membership for the 2024-2025 season will open in July, the doors are always open to those who want to make their active contribution. The doors of Dell’Oste – he concludes – are open to those who want to help”.
