In a church of San Domenico packed with family, friends and representatives of the institutions, Legnano said goodbye for the last time Valeria Vanossipresident of the Il sole nel cuore association, who passed away on Friday 14 June at the age of 66.
The funeral, concelebrated by Don Claudio Maria Colombo and father Renato Rosso, took place this afternoon, Monday 17 June. Many testimonies have outlined the portrait of “a generous, altruistic woman, always ready to lend a helping hand to the weakest”, as her daughter put it effectively. Carolinawho then continued:
“You were a woman with a capital ‘D’. You were an exemplary mother and grandmother. I and Marco we were lucky to have you as a mom. I know that you would have wanted a more peaceful life for us, but you left us your strength and your precious teachings, the same ones that we will pass on to Mirko, your little nephew that you loved so much. I will definitely tell my kids one day how amazing their grandmother was. Be proud of what you did and of the woman you were, we are proud of you. Now mom, join dad. He carries the sole in his heart among the angels as only you can do.”
The management of the Asst Ovest Milanese also brought its greetings, with which Vanossi had been collaborating for years to promote solidarity initiatives and which during the pandemic was able to count on the precious contribution of the volunteers of the association she presides over to manage the the practical aspects of the vaccination campaign are better. The medical director Eugenio Vignati he said:
“Today not only tears, but many rays of sunshine in your heart. You really had the sun in your heart, dear Valeria, because from Legnano, with your enthusiasm for the beautiful and the good, you sent a strong message that leave and will forever leave a sign of hope for a better world, with unparalleled courage and contagious enthusiasm. You have demonstrated with your life that being a volunteer means committing yourself with strength, dynamism, industriousness, energy, vigor and determination, in true help and. support for those who are in difficulty or have a world of problems. Because you, Valeria, have been truly altruistic, immensely generous, strongly combative, always and only looking with love at the sick, the elderly, the disabled, children, non-EU citizens, drug addicts, families in difficulty, single mothers and abused women. Your great legacy is the love you gave.”
Vignati wanted to remember “Beautiful everywhere and anyway”, a charity and awareness-raising evening on the topic of female cancers promoted in collaboration with the Asst Ovest Milanese, of which the fourth edition was staged last October. A special evening in which cancer patients parade wearing dream dresses accompanied on the catwalk by multi-medallisted sports champions from the Carabinieri Sports Center and that of the Guardia di Finanza.
