Accor has announced a new partnership with Emiliana Grandi Alberghi (Ega) for the signing of a franchising agreement that will lead to the opening of the Mercure Reggio Calabria by mid-2026.
Ega is a division of Monrif SpA Group, which operates in different sectors: editorial, advertising, new media and hospitality. With the Monrif Hotels brand, Ega currently manages three properties in the center of Bologna.
Located at the end of Corso Garibaldi, the main artery of the historic center of Reggio Calabriathe hotel will become a new milestone in the city’s hotel offering: the strategic location, just 10 minutes from the airport, allows easy access to the main points of interest, including the train station, the Palace of Justice, the Granillo Stadium but also the National Museum where they are exhibited the Riace Bronzes.
The Mercure Reggio Calabria will develop on five floors and will make it available to travellers 89 rooms, divided into different types: Suites, Junior Suites/Family Room, Premium and Standard. The hotel’s proposal will also include a conference center with capacity for up to 200 peoplea health centre with a suggestive salt room, a rooftop with swimming pool also open to residents, lounge area with bar service and a restaurant on the first floor characterized by a terrace with a view.
