The conflict is now total, because if a club summons its members to the headquarters, and they do not show up, the margins for healing a fracture are inevitably reduced to the minimum, if not disappear completely. This is what is happening between Catanzaro, Vincenzo Vivarini and his four collaborators: a judicial queue that would have been better avoided is inexorably approaching.
On Monday evening, after a day of diplomatic contacts between the general manager Paolo Morganti and the coach’s agent – and in parallel a phone call between the presidents Floriano Noto and Maurizio Stirpe (of Frosinone) – the Giallorossi club summoned the fifty-eight year old with official certified e-mails from Abruzzo, his deputy Andrea Milani, the trainers Maurizio Zambardi and Antonio Del Fosco (the match analyst Massimo Carcarino is the only one whose contract expires).
The invitation – in fact an obligation – was to show up by late afternoon yesterday in via Gioacchino da Fiore, in the company’s offices: not having reached an agreement in the previous days, the invitation was obviously not aimed at terminating the contracts ( it would not have made sense), but to some bureaucratic formalities. Given the short notice (twenty-four hours) no one showed up in Catanzaro […].
The question is what will happen now. Meanwhile, new official letters have been sent which move the deadline to late afternoon today. Above all, it is clear that these latest events do not calm the atmosphere: if before the parties had started talking to each other again, it is not certain that they will do so anymore, also because June 30th is approaching and, at this point, it cannot be ruled out that on July 1st, the opening day of the new season, Vivarini and the staff propose resignation or ask – then yes – for termination. After all, Frosinone would be waiting for them: will they do it for much longer?
However, it is not even a given that Catanzaro will let these four-five days pass without doing anything else. President Noto probably did not expect to see the members at the venue, however this circumstance perhaps gives him the opportunity to add a further chapter to the story, perhaps taking the route of referral to the Serie B Arbitration Board for non-compliance on the part of those who are still an employee of Catanzaro today […].
