The arrests of the three responsible for the attack that took place last Friday in the car park of the FanoCenter shopping center in Bellocchi di Fano were confirmed on Monday. The officers had placed handcuffs on the wrists of the three, caught in the act of committing a crime, for aggravated injuries to a young man. And the causes of so much violence had so far remained unknown. The police coordinated by Stefano Seretti have meanwhile conducted some investigations shedding light on the ‘reasons’ of the dispute, also with the aid of investigations by the scientific police.
It all started on Thursday, with a verbal confrontation between the victim of the attack and a woman. The following day her son and her partner, together with a third of foreign origin, went to Bellocchi to check for the possible presence of the young man. Once found, they followed him to the FanoCenter, where he intended to have lunch. The three waited for him in the car park adjacent to the food court of the shopping centre. First the verbal aggression, then the violence with bare hands. Finally, the most dangerous gesture, already known in the news, and which could be attributed to the woman’s partner: the use of a large bricklayer’s pencil to strike him in the abdomen.
Following reports from some passers-by and FanoCenter security men, the officers rushed to the scene to stop the three suspects and accompany them to the police station. The young man, meanwhile, was transferred by air ambulance to the regional hospital of Torrette di Ancona, where he was hospitalized with a reserved prognosis.
The immediate searches by the officers made it possible to find the object used for the attack and, in the car of the woman’s son, other instruments suitable for offending including a knife and a baseball bat, which appeared to have been purchased shortly before. . Hence also the aggravating circumstance of premeditation. On Monday morning the arrest was validated by the Court of Pesaro, which ordered the precautionary measure of house arrest against all three.
