Anzil, with Piccolo Festival Opera quality music in Fvg

The deputy governor presented the event which will be held in the cross-border area of ​​the Isonzo Udine, 17 June – “Offering high quality music in iconic and evocative places in the cross-border area of ​​our territory: this is the objective of a perfectly consistent with the vision that the Region has in the cultural field”. This was said today in Udine by the deputy governor with responsibility for Culture Mario Anzil speaking during the presentation of the 17th edition of the ‘Piccolo Festival Opera’; event financed by the Region and this year dedicated to the evocative theme of ‘fantasy’: twenty events from 21 June to 7 July with opera and chamber music in the most evocative places of the border area, between Gorizia and Nova Gorica and between Collio and Brda . As the representative of the regional council explained, already in his previous administrative experience as mayor he had had the opportunity to appreciate the event which links harmoniously with the territory. “In particular – he added – it does so by exploring border music, which is not only a geographical concept, but which is also what represents the border between reality and fantasy, between past and future, memory and imagination”. Anzil then underlined how the coherence of the Piccolo Festival Opera program with the Administration’s guidelines in the cultural field is the reason why the Region’s support for the event will also be confirmed for the future, with the prospect that “the path that is leading us to Go!2025 – he concluded – represents the best viaticum capable of promoting the offer of Nova Gorica Gorizia European Capital of Culture on an international level”.
