TRENT– In the first two seasons of women’s activity, the Trentino Volley squad has always offered space to a local powerhouse; the beautiful tradition will also continue in the 2024/25 Serie A2 championship. After Fondriest and Olivotto, it will be up to Greta Iob to green it up; In the past year you wore the Serie B1 Volano Volley shirt. Greta’s story is particularly curious, given that the place 3 from Trentino only started playing volleyball four years ago. Greta Iob will wear the number 16 shirt.
THE CARREER-
Born in Trento on 23 June 2006, she quickly forged ahead thanks to her undoubted physical qualities, standing out in the youth team of Basilisco Rotalvolley and soon debuting in the Serie C championship, in which she played for two seasons, starting in 2021 to 2023. In 2023 the jump to B1 among the ranks of Volano Volley, where he was able to become familiar with national tournaments, earning his spaces on the pitch especially in the first part of the season. Now a new leap forward, in a high-level central park in which she will act as a precious alternative to her more expert companions.

« I didn’t expect the proposal from a prestigious club like Trentino Volley and what pushed me to accept it was the desire to improve by comparing myself with top people. It will be a challenge for me to join a team competing in such an important category, but training with girls who are stronger than me has always helped me grow quickly and I hope that this experience can prove equally useful. My goal is to reach the end of the season satisfied with the path I have decided to undertake and with the improvement that I am convinced will result, both on a technical and mental level.”
