“The works on the area of the former Fiera del Mediterraneo relating to the 1st Implementation Contract of the Framework Agreement – PAPA 123 “Infrastructural interventions in the area of the former Fiera del Mediterraneo” which have already allowed the use of Pavilions 16, 20 and 20 A. Today there is a further step forward in the redevelopment activities of the area, with the delivery, to the successful company, of the works of the 2nd Implementation Contract of the Framework Agreement, the executive project of which was approved with City Council Resolution no. ° 133 of 10/06/2024. In particular, the works of the 2nd Implementation Contract, whose expected execution times are 270 days for the total project amount of €. 2,633,178.13, include the renovation of the Piazzale delle Sirene, the central avenue, as well as the extraordinary maintenance of the pavilion used as a toilet (day hotel), the arrangement of the parts of the rough paving in the southern area and the maintenance and refunctionalisation of the accesses , of the main roads and car parks, including the relevant lighting systems.
The cost of the interventions is borne by the funds of the Pact for the South of the City of Palermo – Framework Agreement – PAPA123 – “Redevelopment interventions in the area of the former Fiera del Mediterraneo” financed in 2016 and available to the municipal administration. From today we will be busy following the execution of the works according to the timetable to deliver the works to the citizens on time, thus improving the conditions of the structures of the former Mediterranean Fair and the services offered”.
