The financiers of the Provincial Command of Asti, on the basis of the outcome of investigations carried out to combat tax evasion and to protect consumers, have in recent days executed a search and consequent seizure decree issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Asti, against a “false” dentist, as he was caught while he was intent on providing treatment to a patient by illegally practicing the dental profession, without any qualification or qualification in the medical field.
The Fiamme Gialle of the Asti Group, in fact, when gaining access to the practice where he illegally practiced his profession, located in a municipality in the Province of Asti, found the self-styled doctor wearing a green coat, mask and surgical gloves, in the act of preparing a patient already seated on the appropriate “unit” chair, ready for a dental service. The immediate intervention of the financiers made it possible to ascertain the illicit conduct and interrupt it.
The healthcare services provided by the suspect were in fact all attributable to the dental sector: extractions, anaesthesia, x-rays, all carried out completely illegally, in the absence of any certified expertise.
The investigations carried out by the Guardia di Finanza revealed such serious violations of professional standards by the false dentist, who does not appear to have obtained a master’s degree, much less the necessary specialization and is therefore not registered with the Order of Surgeons and Doctors. Dentists.
During the search of the office, the financiers discovered and seized equipment, scalpels, extractors, professional chair, x-ray equipment and drugs. The seizure was necessary to prevent the illicit activity carried out by the fake dentist from continuing with the risk of jeopardizing the health of unsuspecting patients.
In addition to the equipment, the Fiamme Gialle seized the relevant documentation from the illegal studio which will be useful for reconstructing the turnover achieved by the suspect, thus allowing them to quantify the compensation illegally accumulated and subtracted from taxation, as it was found that the subject did not declare any income for this activity.
The operation of the financiers of the Asti Group demonstrates the concrete constant commitment made by the Financial Police for the purposes of preventing and repression of crimes which can entail serious risks and/or consequences for the health of citizens as well as presenting economic-financial prejudice both for the budget of families and the State, especially in matters of concealment of proceeds illicitly obtained by those who illegally practice a medical profession without legal qualifications and insurance against damages to third parties.
