soaring cost of living amounting to 272 euros

Florence, 17 June 2024 – La Tuscany and the second most expensive region in Italy. This is what emerges from the ranking drawn up by the National Consumer Union on the basis of the territorial data ofinflation of May announced by Istat.

Cost of living in Tuscany: +272 euros

In first place is Veneto which records an average burden of 324 euros per family on an annual basis. Followed by Tuscanywhere price growth of 1.1% implies a surge in cost of living equal to 272 euros, Emilia Romagna is third (+0.9% and +237 euros). The best regions, even in deflation, are Valle d’Aosta (-0.8%, equal to a saving of 208 euros) and Molise (-0.4%, -83 euros). Abruzzo is in third position, with no change.

In Tuscany prices are still high

In Florence an increase of 366 euros

As regards the cities of Parma and Rimini, they compete ex aequo for the lead with an inflation equal to 1.6%, which translates into the greatest additional expenditure on an annual basis, equivalent on average to 435 euros. Silver medal for Venice, where the 1.4% increase in prices determines an increase in annual spending equal to 369 euros per family. Bronze medal for Florence which with +1.4% has an additional expense equal to 366 euros per year for an average family.
