CELANO(FI): “PHARMACEUTICAL CONSORTIUM, THIS IS WHY SALERNO LEFT IT”

The approval, which took place in the last session of the Salerno municipal council, of the exit of the Municipality of Salerno from the inter-municipal pharmaceutical consortium went unnoticed. Today, however, digging behind this choice and illustrating a series of question marks is the opposition councilor Roberto Celano, group leader of Forza Italia who has shown, with the calculations in hand, a hole of 11 million euros that Salerno should be covered by knowledge and for which the Municipality’s coffers should be responsible for at least a third, i.e. for the value of the share that the Municipality of Salerno represented in the pharmaceutical consortium. in short, a further increase of approximately €3,800,000 in the budget of the Municipality of Salerno which Roberto Celano has been focusing on for some time. Starting to try to see clearly behind this choice, Celano found a letter through which the board of directors of the Consortium asked the mayors of the municipalities of Capaccio, Eboli and Salerno to indicate the members of the board of auditors to whom to send the financial statement template for the acquisition of the opinion, because, we read in the letter, the members of the board of auditors appointed by the assembly of auditors in the assembly of 28 December 2023 have not yet sent their acceptance of the office. in reality, as Roberto Celano explained today in a press conference, they had accepted the position and then resigned, most likely failing to shed light on the accounts in which there are a series of indecipherable numbers. “At a certain point we read next to the entry of 233 thousand euros, credits towards Tancredi” said Celano, revealing a series of anomalies in the compilation of the list. The vice president of Noi Moderati in the Chamber of Deputies, the Honorable Pino Bicchielli, announced a new parliamentary question on the matter. “The situation within the pharmaceutical consortium is worrying. The complaint by councilor Roberto Celano should alarm the population but also the majority of Naples” – said Bicchielli – We expect clarifications from the leaders of the Palazzo di città. Unfortunately we are certain that they will not arrive but we are not letting our guard down and I will ask the national government to pay maximum attention to protect the City of Salerno and the citizens of Salerno, already forced to deal with very high taxes and a lack of essential services”.
