The 24thto edition of the Nebrodi Rally does not disappoint expectations, offering a spectacle of the highest level. The winners were Marco Pollara, from Prizzi (Palermo) and the Peloritan Maurizio Messina, who celebrated on the podium together with the seconds, the Santangiolesi Filippo Ferraro and Cono Bruno and the Pattesi brothers Nunzio and Roberto Longo, all on Skoda Fabia. The mayor Francesco Paolo Cortolillo welcomed the winners in the square of Sant’Angelo di Brolo, thanking Cst Sport for the excellent organization of the race.

The turning point that outlined the top ranking came during the fifth special test “Piraino 2”, when the winners of the 2023 edition, Alessandro Casella and Isabella Gualtieri, were forced to raise the white flag due to a mechanical problem.

It’s nice for us to be back on the top step of the podium in this race, splendidly organized by my team – declared Pollara -. Obviously it’s a shame not to have been able to continue the challenge with Alessandro, we would certainly have finished within a few seconds of each other regardless of position”.

Filippo Ferraro expressed the satisfaction of the runners-up: “This podium after five years of inactivity and on a car that is completely new to me fills me with pride, I am grateful for the push that the public at my Sant’Angelo gave me”. Roberto Longo complains about a spin during the first special stage: “Really a shame. We could have taken second place, we got within three and a half seconds, but we lost many more.”

Fourth place for the crew made up of Placido Palazzo da Corleone and Pierfrancesco Rappa, expert navigator from Palermo. The bearers of the renowned Scuderia Ateneo really impressed with the first of the Peugeot 207 Super 2000s. Fifth again was a driver from Sant’Angelo, the well-known Carmelo Galipò, navigated by the expert from Palermo Davis on a Skoda Fabia while sixth were Andrea Nastasi and Giuseppe Stassi with the second of the Peugeot 207 Super 2000. Maurizio Rizzo and Massimo D’Angelo comeback in seventh place on the beautiful Citroen Ds3 and eighth and winners of the RC4n Group and the Rally 4 Class on the Peugeot 208 Gt Line, the son of art Giuseppe Oieni and Fulvio Lombardo . Closing out the top ten are Salvatore Di Benedetto from Nisse and Giuseppe Barbaro from Messina on a Skoda Fabia and Rosario Cannino and Giuseppe Buscemi on a Peugeot 208 VTI, winners of the Rally4 R2B class.
