On Saturday 29 June 2024 at 9.30 pm the opera “Suor Angelica” by Giacomo Puccini will be performed in the Cloisters of the Basilica of Sant’Antonino in Piacenza as part of the Antonianiane Events 2024.
The Friends of the Opera of Piacenza are pleased to announce the return of the long-awaited summer event with opera, on the occasion of the Antonini Manifestations 2024. On June 29th at 9.30 pm (in case of bad weather the same time on June 30th), the Cloisters of the Basilica of Sant’Antonino in Piacenza will be the setting for the performance of “Suor Angelica” by Giacomo Puccini.

This extraordinary production will feature protagonists of great artistic depth: the soprano Ana Isabel Lazo in the role of Sister Angelica, the mezzo-soprano Cristina Melis as the Aunt Princess and the mezzo-soprano Erica Cortese in the role of the Abbess.
Soprano Sara Guidi will be Sister Genovieffa and soprano Enrica Macaro will play the First Seeker. In a project that also enhances young talents, the production will involve the singing students of the Giuseppe Nicolini Conservatory of Piacenza.
The Choir Master will be Corrado Casati on piano Hong Hyung Jual flute Carlotta Martinelli. The musical direction is entrusted to Gioele Muglialdo and the direction to Mario Binetti.
Tickets are already available in advance at the ticket office of the Municipal Theater of Piacenza from Tuesday to Saturday. Given the limited nature of seating, we recommend that you hurry to secure your place at this unmissable show.
