There has been no official statement, but Atalanta Under 23 has already closed the first purchase of the summer of 2024. The Bergamo club has in fact exercised the right of redemption for Lorenzo Bernasconileft back born in 2003 who arrived on loan from Cremonese three years ago.
The left-footed winger, after blossoming in the Grigiorossi youth team, had arrived in Bergamo in 2021 in the deal that had brought I give you, Valzania And Okoli in Cremona. After two years in the ranks of the Nerazzurri Primavera, in the last season Bernasconi was a protagonist with the newly formed Atalanta U23, the second Dea team involved in Serie C.
Despite an injury that kept him away from the pitch for several months, the young full-back made 25 appearances featuring one goal and two assists, standing out for his technical qualities and great dedication. Performances that convinced Atalanta to buy him outright from Cremonese, a club with which they have always had excellent relations.
For Bernasconi this is a fair reward for the commitment made in recent years with the Goddess shirt. Since his arrival at the Nerazzurri he has always stood out positively for his application and desire to improve, so much so that he was often praised by the coach Francesco Modesto in press conferences.
A logical investment for Dea, which also focuses heavily on local kids (Bernasconi is from Bergamo and Atalanta). The young man, in past seasons, has been included in the first team several times, receiving the appreciation of Gasp. At 20 years old, the left-footed winger still has ample room for growth and will be able to continue his maturation process within the Nerazzurri club.
