Directly from the youth sector, Gaia Spiriti closes the roster of Futura Volley – Lega Pallavolo Serie A Femminile

Latest announcement in the name of “homemade” for Futura Volley, which with the promotion of the young Gaia Spiriti to the first team completes the 2024/25 edition roster now entrusted, turnkey, to coach Alessandro Beltrami.
After taking her first steps between Oratorio di Cedrate, Besnate and Orago, at the age of thirteen the player originally from Gallarate landed in the Bustocco club, Gaia then completed the entire process up to Under 18, proving to be one of the most interesting elements of the group and knowing how to be a protagonist in a competitive championship like Serie C.
Possessing great athletic skills and very solid on the block, the opposite class of 2007 has already made some appearances in the A2 series training sessions, where they demonstrated their ability to keep the pace with great character.
In the roster of next season, Spiriti will be the youngest of the Cocche but her future, we are sure, will only give her great satisfaction.

The words
Daydream
“When they asked me to be part of the first team, I was obviously very happy. Playing in a club that has a very well-groomed youth sector and a Serie A that can be an outlet for the future is a great opportunity. And being able to join that group at just 17 years old is a beautiful thing. I don’t think I have fully realized what happened yet!

A little taste
“I did some training last season. You realize that it’s a different level, there are different attentions. It’s very nice because you see how the game evolves as the quality increases. It was a first taste but very positive, I was the youngest but I knew some of the girls like Lara Del Core and Giulia Osana”.

Passion comes from playing
“Volleyball is a beautiful part of my life, which I am continuing. I didn’t start out as a child with a very strong passion but it came from playing and I think this is a beautiful thing. I’m not tired of it yet, I’m just getting started! By combining volleyball with studying (Gaia will attend the fourth year of the Scientific High School in Gallarate, ed.) when I go to train I know that I can put school aside because I have to be concentrated, work hard and do well. Then I have fun with the whole group and it’s a useful moment to disconnect a bit.”

Dream big
“My dream is certainly to become the best I can be, to get as high as possible with my skills and passions in the future, I would like to improve more and more. I don’t have a player model that inspires me, I try to get the best from all the athletes I see or face. If I realize that someone does a certain thing well I try to draw inspiration and lessons from it.”

The Gaia brick
“I will certainly put effort into it, I have made a choice and I will move forward seriously and with the utmost determination”.

Young vs experienced
“I see a mix in the group that can bring something good. The young ones have great energy, a desire to do everything, without taking anything away from the older ones. We will give a boost of enthusiasm and light-heartedness in the most positive sense of the term.”

News and organization
“I will have an important growth opportunity. Being the last year of youth in Under 18, I want to enjoy it as much as possible and be able to improve my shortcomings. I will enter the real world of volleyball and it will be a season of novelties. It will also be intense between school and volleyball but I’m sure I’ll be able to organize myself.”

More enthusiasm
“Ever since I was little I have loved reading, I go by the inspiration of the moment, and I like going out with friends. I’m a fairly introverted person but by playing and joining new groups, I managed to open up a little more and find enthusiasm.”

Indonesia I’m coming!
“My summer will be quite full of travel. I’ll be going to Indonesia with my family, and I can’t wait, while I should be going to Spain with my friends. I have relatives in Palma de Mallorca and I’ll take the opportunity to see them again. I’ll rest and recharge my batteries before starting the new season”.
