He wasn’t able to understand or want when killed his son on the evening of January 2, 2022 in Torre del Greco, in the province of Naples.

Little Francesco was just two and a half years old and his mother had self-diagnosed his autism by consulting the internet.

Now, after the acquittal for total mental defect, there are no health facilities or family members willing to welcome and look after Adalgisa Gambathe 42-year-old mother from Torre del Greco, so the judges ordered his release, with revocation of the probation measure and transfer to a judicial psychiatric hospital under the Rems regime.

The measure was signed yesterday by the same judges of the first section of the Court of Assizes of Naples who issued the acquittal sentence last June 4th.

A week after the note sent to the ASL Napoli 3 Sud and in the absence of alternatives (family members or other subjects), the judges were unable to apply the safety measure of probation for a period of no less than 15 years, with obligation of treatment and residence in a high-intensity therapeutic-rehabilitative residential facility, with a suitable therapeutic plan, as they had established in the sentence. Therefore, they accepted the previous request of the Torre Annunziata Prosecutor’s Office (prosecutor Andreana Ambrosino) and arranged for the woman to be transferred to a judicial psychiatric hospital, as she requires specific care.
