Livorno, 17 June 2024 – Francesco Stefanini, better known as Mister Green for his tireless efforts against the abandonment of waste, yesterday morning he returned to action in the center: the target of the blitz in Piazza Garibaldi. But he was not alone: alongside him the Pontino San Marco Committee, Acchiapparifiuti, the Senegalese Community of Piazza della Repubblica also took to the field (always very willing to lend a hand),

The participants of the ‘Let’s Clean the Neighborhood’ initiative were given gloves, bags, pliers and cigarette butt aspirators.
Mister Green explained: “We collected cigarette butts in Piazza Garibaldi, a real scourge for the city.
For this reason I proposed placing containers with sand in the area where smokers can leave cigarillo buttsinstead of being scattered everywhere.”
He then expressed the hope of “continuing the collaboration with the Pontino San Marco Committee to organize other similar initiatives to support the cleanliness and decorum of our city, also extending the scope to other squares and streets”.
By the end of the morning, over half a kilo of cigarette butts had been collected. Meanwhile, Francesco Stefanini continues with his individual activity: riding his bicycle equipped with a trolley he continues to hunt for waste in all the central and peripheral districts of Livorno. Next destination: via di Popogna on the eastern outskirts (Collinaia) targeted by the wild abandonment of waste. And at Fonte dell’Amore, where everything was found in the woods.
