Last Thursday the Piacenza District Mathematics Championships and the Piacenza-Cremona-Lodi-Pavia Polo Physics Championships closed the school year with an awards ceremony for the students who distinguished themselves in scientific subjects, conducted by Elisabetta Fumi of “Colombini” high school and Carlo Colombini of the “Respighi” high school, together with the organizations that support the project: Piacenza and Vigevano Foundation, Banca Generali and Cshark, while councilor Tiziana Albasi brought greetings from the municipal administration of Piacenza.

As for mathematics, national gold for Marcel Stologan of the 2nd Als class of the Mattei di Fiorenzuola, followed closely by his twin brother and schoolmate Marius (2nd A) with silver, in the final stages also the third district Luca Monti of Respighi’s 5th E. In the first class race, top step of the podium for Alessandro Cataldo (1st A Respighi) and second place for Elena Mazzucco (1st Sab Colombini). In the women’s team competitions, Respighi admitted to the final stages in Cesenatico first, Colombini second and Gioia third. Finally, the mixed team competition with awards for the Colombini, Gioia, Respighi and Mattei teams. In the physics Olympics, Jacopo Basso Ricci from Galilei of Crema, Marco Bellomi from Gandini of Lodi and Carlo Romanello from Copernico of Pavia stood out with the Gold Band, plus the Einstein and Feynman teams from Gioia, Gauge and the Hooke boys from Colombini , Respo Team 1 and Respo Team 2 of Respighi, and AI Volta and Volta One of Volta di Castel San Giovanni.
