Diocese of Acireale, diocesan gathering for altar servers –

This year too the Seminary community, with the precious support of the Diocesan Office for the Pastoral Care of Vocations, is organizing the Gathering of Ministers. The theme chosen for the 2024 edition is that of parish as the house of God and the communitya place where everyone can seek and meet the Lord and offer their commitment to His service, inspired by the verse from the Gospel of John: «Sir, where do you live?».

A topic for reflection: the parish as the House of God

The event invites all participants to reflect on the parish not only as a physical space, but as a prayer and community environment where the presence of God is experienced. The parish is in fact the beating heart of Christian life, where faith meets and it is strengthened through sharing and service. It is the place where everyone can feel the presence of the Lord and respond to his call.

An experience of joy and sharing

One of the main objectives of the altar servers’ gathering is to offer children a unique opportunity to live a joyful experience of Church. The event aims to be a moment of meeting and celebration, where young people can feel part of a larger community and discover the beauty of being “with Jesus to serve”.

A successful gathering

Over the years, the Gathering of Altar Servers has been characterized by feelings of joy, communion and service. Thanks to the presence and collaboration of the priests and leaders of the parish groups, we are certain that this year too the experience will be equally significant.

An invitation to participate

Everyone is invited to enthusiastically participate in this special day, bringing with them banners and characteristic signs of the parish groups. But, above all, it is an invitation to bring the joy of faith and the spirit of communion. It is this joy that makes the Gathering of Altar Servers and which testifies to the vitality of our community of faith.
