A phone call to 112 from the emergency room workers from the former Trani hospital after a boy showed up with multiple stab wounds. Thus began the investigations carried out by the Carabinieri – under the direction of the Trani Prosecutor’s Office – which allowed the alleged perpetrators of the violent attack to be identified: they are a 24-year-old and a 30-year-old, who ended up in prison on charges of attempted murder.
The aggression
According to the investigative reconstruction, the boy – of Trani origins – was left home at 4am to meet his friends who, however, were waiting for him to punish him for a wrong, seems to have developed in the context of the management of businesses connected to drug dealing. After repeatedly hitting him with a stick and wounding him with a knife, the two attackers fled in a car, leaving the boy on the ground.
The investigations and accusations
The declarations of the young man, those of his family members and witnesses as well as the results of the investigations, have made it possible to collect useful elements for the reconstruction of the dynamics. The two attackers were arrested on a precautionary custody order in prison issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Trani for the crimes of attempted murder – in complicity – and possession of weapons or objects capable of offending.
