PESARO Great cinema, traditional music, writing workshops, artistic testimonies alongside the flavors and typical features of a country where the charm of the contemporary is mixed with a thousand-year history: from 20 to 23 June the Korean Weekto seal in a festive atmosphere the close bond of friendship and cultural collaboration that unites Pesaro and the Republic of Korea.

The appointments

A rich calendar of events will allow you to explore all the facets of an extraordinary country in the year in which we celebrate 140 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Italy and the Republic of Korea, as specified by Chun Ye Jin, director of the Cultural Institute Korean in Italy. The events spread throughout the city will involve Palazzo Gradari, the Alusfera, Opera Trattoria Contemporanea di Quartiere, while the inaugural event, in the presence of the Korean ambassador to Italy, will be held on Thursday at 6pm in the Salone Metaurense of the Palazzo Ducale, followed from the Opera Concert of the Korean students residing in Pesaro conducted by the soprano So Hyun Lee. A special space will be dedicated to Korean cinema, a revelation in recent years, within the 60th International Film Festival in collaboration with Busan Cinema Centre: three national previews are on the plate at Cinema Astra: on Thursday Exhuma by Jang Jae-Hyun will be broadcast, Friday 1st Laid-Back Town and Mora, and Saturday 22nd See the Love and Homo Hundred Ballet (short films) and Picnic (fixed time 5.30pm). Green light for kimchi and the typical flavors of the culinary tradition with the six dinners that starting from Thursday Enrico Francesconi, with the collaboration of the Korean chef Hyeji Choi, is proposing to transform the contemporary Opera Trattoria into a Korean pop restaurant, and not only that: the spaces of restaurant will host the photographic exhibition by Massimo Spagnoletti, which portrays places and atmospheres of Korea, while the Rossini Gallery will be the scene of the “Three Seasons” exhibition by Sun Hee Moon, Lee Yun Mi, Hwang Da So. And also writing workshops Chusa and the possibility of wearing the hobak, a traditional Korean dress (Palazzo Gradari,), the K-Pop dance contest on Sunday at Piazzale della Libertà, which will see all the dancers of Italy compete to apply for the final contest of 2025, and lots of music: from the traditional folk of Arirang and Art We Can on Friday in Piazzale della Libertà, to the Jazz of Park Si Yeon trio at dawn at Fondazione Oasi, to the great Masters of Opera on Sunday at 9.00pm at Alusfera. There will be a space dedicated to the ancient magic of Korean cosmetics with the two masterclasses organized by Alessandra Frontini of Mybeautyroutine on the morning of Sunday 23rd and the shop dedicated to Palazzo Gradari.
