Messina – Construction site stopped at the former “Capitan Traina” kindergarten. Question by Alessandro Russo, PD.

The works for the construction of the nursery at the former “Capitan Traina” school in Bordonaro are at a standstill. The PD municipal councilor, Alessandro Russo, reports this in a question to the Mayor of Messina Federico Basile. According to what Russo writes, the construction site “has not started, despite the six-month delay in the planned work schedule”. The works in question were awarded to the company “Tecnoteam Costruzioni Srl”, based in Paternò (CT) with a total project amount of 1,200,000 euros. “The construction site area, according to official communications – writes Russo – should have been operational for 240 working days, starting from 04/28/2023 until 12/24/2023 and therefore on that final date the work should have be delivered to the city. To date, on the planned construction site area, work has not started despite the delimitation of the area and the presence of the construction site summary sign on site”.

Municipal councilor Russo therefore asks why the works are stopped and what actions have been taken by the Administration to remedy the delay in the execution of this work and the possible resolution of problems that may have arisen in the expected construction period and whether there are the technical, administrative or implementing party’s responsibility for this state of affairs and if it deems it appropriate to ascertain their ownership.
