This evening at 7pm in the mother church of Saints Pio and Anthony in Piazza Pia to Anzio, the evocative dressing ceremony of nine new brothers of the brotherhood of Saint Anthony of Padua, patron saint of the city, will be held, who will carry the statue of the Saint in procession on 29 June. With this evening’s appointment, the brotherhood significantly increases the number of its brothers which thus rises from 85 to 94. “For us it is an important moment of growth which will allow us a greater presence in support of the many initiatives of our parish – explains Alfredo Pincininew president of the brotherhood – And today we want to invite the citizens of Anzio to participate this evening in the dressing of the new brothers”.
Yesterday morning Pincini and other members of the brotherhood were an active part in organizing the program which saw the parish priest of Saints Pio and Anthony impart the blessing to all the boats and crews of the elderly fishing flotilla.
