From tomorrow, Monday 17 June, exit 6 of the Trento ring road in the north direction will be closed, slowdowns expected. The construction site will last approximately 60 days and involves changes to the road system
Tomorrow, Monday 17 June, work will begin on doubling the exit lanes on the Via Berlin roundabout. To carry out the operation it is necessary to close the slip road at exit 6 for those coming from the south. The works also include the widening of the lanes in the northern part of the Via Berlin roundabout. The construction is expected to last approximately 60 days.
This closure – warns the Municipality of Trento – involves changes to the city’s traffic system, in particular traffic coming from south to north that must enter the city or continue towards Riva del Garda must use exit 5 (Motor Vehicles) if it is a car ( those who must continue in the direction of Riva del Garda must use via Brescia); if it is heavy traffic, however, you are obliged to continue straight on the ring road until exit 7 (Via del Commercio), with the exception of vehicles headed for technical tests at the Motorization Office which will be able to use exit 5 Piedicastello. No limits for those who must continue north.
Users are advised to take into account the significant impact that these measures will have on city roads and the ring road in terms of travel time.
All changes will be highlighted by suitable signs, with communications on the variable message panels (“Exit 6 closed”) and with mandatory direction signs positioned after the Crz before the entrance to exit 5, and before and after the Piedicastello tunnel .
The closures listed will probably lead to some critical issues such as a greater traffic load on Via Brescia, with slowdowns near the Piedicastello and San Lorenzo roundabouts; slowdowns on the Via Maccani roundabout, with increased traffic load on the junctions of the entrance and exit 7 roads; slowdowns in the direction of via Maccani – corso Alpini and on the Nassiriya railway overpass; slowdowns on State Road 12 for those coming from the north near exits 7, 6 and 6A; slowdowns on the roundabout in via Berlin, Ponte S. Giorgio and via Fontana.
The local police will guarantee the presence of the via Maccani roundabout, the Piedicastello roundabout, the Ponte S. Lorenzo roundabout and the Nassiriya roundabout during the morning and afternoon rush hours.
