Nicola Berti in Nettuno to celebrate the tricolor

“I am really excited – says Club President Valerio Scalia – that a Nerazzurri favorite like Nicola Berti has accepted our invitation and will come to Nettuno to celebrate with us the victory of the twentieth championship and the historic second star. It is the first time, since the club was founded in 2010, that an Inter player has come to Nettuno to celebrate with us.”

Protagonist of the 1988/89 scudetto

“Nicola Berti was one of the great protagonists of the record-breaking Scudetto in 1988/89 – continues President Valerio Scalia – and with the Inter shirt he also won an Italian Super Cup and two UEFA Cups. Although over 25 years have passed since his last match with the Inter shirt, he is still today one of the players most loved by Inter fans not only for his unique and inimitable way of being, but also and above all for his attachment to shirt and the Nerazzurri colours”.

“An absolute protagonist in the nineties – concludes Scalia – Berti wore the Inter shirt for a decade from 1988 to 1998. 312 appearances and 41 goals for the Nerazzurri including the historic ball and chain ride against Bayern Munich. Berti ended his career in 2000 at the age of 33 due to some physical problems after playing for Tottenham, Deportivo Alavés and Northern Spirit.
