Awudu Abass has played a very good season with the Virtus Bologna shirt and could renew, but Olimpia EA7 Milano and Besiktas, a Turkish team, are also interested in him.
According to what was reported by La Prealpina, the Italian player born in Como, who will represent Italbasket this summer, he has received an almost indispensable offer from Istanbul team Besiktas and seems to be seriously thinking about it. The Turkish league is one of the most competitive in Europe and the economic impact could make the difference for a guy who is already 31 years old, considering that he has a few years of career ahead of him but not many yet.
We certainly know that Virtus Bologna is working on the renewal of Awudu Abass and Olimpia Milano also wants him, but Turkey seems to be the preferred destination for the Italian former Brescia and Cantù player among others.
Let’s see what happens in the next few hours. It may be more of a problem for the VuNere than for the Scarpette Rosse, who have protected themselves at Serie A level with Paul Eboua. Let’s see if in the end he will really go to Besiktas or continue to play in Italy.
