Florence, 15 June 2024 – I am almost 39 thousand the hirings planned by Tuscan companies for the current month of June, 88,760 considering the entire summer quarter June-August 2024. The trend is substantially stable compared to the previous 12 months. Looking at the period June-August 2024, admissions are only 470 more than in June-August 2023. The difficulty in finding of personnel: in Tuscany it is al 49.2%, compared to 47.6% nationally. As regards the sectors, 75.6% of entries are expected in services and 24.4% in industry. The data emerge from the latest bulletin of Excelsior information systemcreated by Unioncamere and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies.
The most requested figures
In our region approximately half of the planned hirings concern employeescommercial and service professions, 23.5% of admissions are represented by specialized workers, plant and machine operators. This is followed by unskilled professions (15.9%) and managers, specialized professions and technicians (10.6% of the total).
The most difficult figures to find on the job market
The professions exchange of the Excelsior information system reports 66.8% difficulty in finding technicians in the engineering field, followed by technicians managing the production processes of goods and services (58.5%), commercial distribution technicians (58.1%) and IT engineers and technicians (both 56.7%). Among the figures of specialized workers, the following stand out foundries, welders, tinsmiths, boilermakers, metal carpentry assemblers (75.1%), specialized workers assigned to construction finishings (73.1%) and blacksmiths, tool builders. Machine workers in the textile and clothing industry are also difficult to find (76.3%). As regards the province of Florence, the figures that are difficult to find in the month of May 2024 include blacksmiths (88.5%), specialized textile and clothing workers (86.5%), workers employed on industrial product packaging machines (83.3%), artisan mechanics, assemblers, repairers, maintainers of fixed and mobile machines (82.7%), and workers employed on industrial machinery textile and clothing (79.4%).
The provinces with the greatest job opportunities
Of the almost 39 thousand vacancies in the period June-August 2024, 9,810 they come from the province of Florence6,120 from Livorno and 5,470 from Lucca. In Grosseto, of the 3,960 places available, 66% is represented by the professional group of office workers, commercial professions and services, while the highest percentage of specialized workers is sought in Lawn (53.6%). Opportunities for unskilled personnel are especially in Lucca (19%). The highest number of senior executives we are looking, instead, in Florence (15.8% of the total).
Among the 10 Italian provinces that offer the most opportunities to young people is Mass, with 41% of admissions, second only to Imperia, at 43.1%. Followed by Reggio Emilia and Reggio Calabria and, in fifth place, another Tuscan province, Pisawhere 39.8% of hirings concern young people.
