This inauguration – explains the provincial president of Cna, Lorenzo Zanotti – it is a concrete sign of resilience, with the contribution of the companies that have brought their professionalism and expertise. I thank all the rescuers, who carried out their work with great solidarity and humanity, and the volunteers who I would define as ‘the angels of the restart’, because with their enthusiasm they allowed people to react. But there are still many problems and we must solve them as soon as possible: from compensation to the protection of the territory we face challenges that can be overcome by all working together. We have to keep the spotlight onat all institutional levels, on the urgencies to be addressed”.

The first city council – announces the mayor Gian Luca Zattini – will be held at Villa Romiti, a symbolic sign that wants to underline that we don’t want to leave anyone behind.” Then she remembered her missing friend Sergio Giammarchi, one of the founders of Cna way back in 1954, “an example of a Forlì that we like, that works and that always has a thought for everyone. I hope that in the next five years politics will work as a team, majority and opposition, each in the roles that the citizens have given us, committing themselves to carrying forward the projects that the people of Forlì are asking of us”.

“And a day which excites and makes us proud – remarks the general director of Cna Franco Napolitano – because we have tried to make this place more welcoming for both the businesses and the people who work here. We shared efforts and commitment and overcame obstacles and the flood made our identity emerge more forcefully.” As regards the work on the new headquarters “we have chosen solutions oriented towards energy saving, with specific attention to environmental issues, improving the acoustics and the lighting system”.

After the emotional testimony of Danila Padovani of Cna who retraced the dramatic moments of the post-flood, the national president Dario Costantini thanked the Forlì-Cesena section for their commitment “both for the work done and for ensuring assistance to the members even in the tragic moments of the flood. But the game is not over and we must continue to work together to overcome the difficulties.”
