Reggio Emilia A corporate “clean up” open to the community: this is the very popular initiative that took place yesterday afternoon, organized by Cellularline, a leading company in Europe in the smartphone and tablet accessories sector. The company, as part of the Engagement Project and the ESG strategy, has thus renewed its commitment to sustainability.

After having planted 1000 trees together with Treedom to help do its part on a global level, driven by the initiatives relating to Plastic Day, the company has decided to engage with a local initiative open to citizens. Yesterday afternoon, starting from the Iren ecostation in Piazzale Europa, Cellularline was involved in the front line in the environmental cleanup of a central area of ​​the city.

The initiative was organized with the support of Plastic Free Onlus, the voluntary organization committed since 2019 to combating plastic pollution and committed to protecting the environment with cleaning events in cities, beaches, parks and rivers and by Treedom, the first platform that allows consumers and companies to contribute to protecting the environment by planting trees online and discovering the positive impact of the project they are part of.

«As Cellularline – declared Christian Aleotti, CEO of the company – since 2020 we have been committed to reducing the use of single-use plastic in our packaging and to re-engineering our products, in order to be able to use recycled plastic in their manufacturing. With this initiative we want to put ourselves on the front line for our city and for the citizens; the company is deeply rooted in the territory and we firmly believe in the importance of enhancing and preserving it, supporting local initiatives such as the one promoted by Plastic Free and Treedom. We are determined to continue on this path and do our part, adopting sustainable practices and raising people’s awareness towards more eco-compatible behaviours”.
