The creation of new places in nursery schools, 661, is not “good governance” by the municipal administration. The Senator Ella Bucalo of Fratelli d’Italia in fact announces that in Messina there will be new places and that there will be “661 places to be created, spread across 17 municipal administrations throughout the province of Messina (therefore not only in the city, ed.) for interventions that will range from the reconversion to the expansion of existing structures, up to the construction of new structures. The new Plan for nursery schools, whose rankings have just been published, revolutionizes the management of childcare services, especially in our latitudes, bringing about a turning point in an essential service for families. The objective, fully achieved by the Meloni Government and the Ministry of Education and Merit, is to overcome the gap between the North and the South of the country by allowing those municipalities that are below the 33 percent threshold of coverage of nursery schools to fill the gap, offering a service that is consistent with the rest of Italy and laying the foundations for national coverage of 45 percent by 2030 for the entire country.
