LUCCA. “Lucca Historiae Fest”, desired by the municipal administration to encourage the dissemination of the city’s history through new methods capable of reaching a wide audience, not only adults, but also young people and children, was presented by the mayor Mario Pardiniby the Councilors for Culture Mia Pisano and Tourism Remo Santini and by the councilor with responsibility for historical traditions Lorenzo Del Barga.

The overall formula of the event has also been confirmed: the Clock of Time, the section that tells the history of the city and which will see historical reconstruction displays along the entire route of the Walls; events and shows, among which there will be the knights’ joust, the military camp with siege engines and various demonstrations, medieval fencing, performances by flag-wavers and musicians, historical Renaissance and 18th century dances. From this year at the Real Collegio there will also be a new area dedicated to the little ones with historical games. Also in this edition there will be space for displays and exhibitions which will concern miniatures of different types, a market exhibition with various exhibitors, a multimedia story of the history of Lucca, an artillery exhibition, a Re-Knowing the Walls exhibition and tasting of typical local products .
