Following the introductory round table on 13 January on “The museum as a factor of social cohesion and civil growth of a community”, which saw the participation of Fulvio Cervini, Christian Greco, Michele Lanzingher and Massimiliano Caldera, will be held on Friday 21 June ( Red Room of the Town Hall, 3-6.30 pm) a second meeting on the topic Museums and territory: the Province of Savona with a view to its candidacy as “Capital of Culture 2027”, chaired by prof. Fabrizio Benente, full professor and vice-rector of the University of Genoa, former scientific director of the Sestri Levante Museum (MuSel) and of the Castiglione Chiavarese Archaeological Mining Center (MuCast).
After the interventions of the Mayor Marco Russo and the Councilor for Culture Nicoletta Negro. Federico Barello (Superintendent of SABAP IM-SV), Franca Acerenza (President of ICOM Liguria) and representatives of the Museums of the Province of Savona will participate in the meeting with introductory reports.
The aim of the initiative is to take stock of the current situation of the museum system in the Province in order to bring the various entities present in the area into dialogue to optimize them in view of the important event of 2027.
