charity event at Villa Tony

He’s back for the sixteenth time.”Dining under a Different Sky”, the charity event that combines taste and solidarity through a unique culinary experience dedicated to promoting the Campania region.

On July 9th Villa Tony, a splendid location located in the Zeno complex (Ercolano), over 150 chefs, pizza chefs, pastry chefs and producers from all over Italy will come together to create an unforgettable evening of good food and charity. Among the prominent names we find the starred chefs Michele De Leo, Domenico Iavarone, Ciro Sicignano, Giuseppe Aversa and Luigi Salomone. Well-known names from the world of entertainment will then speak, introduced by the talented presenter Ida Piccolo, and from 10.30 pm, an unmissable dance party will be held to let loose to the rhythm of the music.

Dozens of companies and associations have embraced the charitable cause, demonstrating the great interest and support that the event has been able to gain over the years. These include Sirio Cooperativa Sociale, Perrella Network, Primi Exotic Fuit, ‘O Sole ‘e Napule, Gerli, Villa Tony, and the main partner Goeldlin Collection, all united in the common goal of creating a better future for people with mental and other nature.

Dining under a Different Sky” is not just a gastronomic event, but a project with a triple mission: Support the Association “Tra cielo e mare” and its activities in favor of people with mental and other problems; Promote the beauty and human potential of Campania, involving excellence in the agri-food sector and locations of historical-cultural interest; Make the gastronomic excellences of Campania known and appreciated through a high-level culinary experience. A concrete commitment to breaking down barriers.

The event was born from an idea of Dr. Alfonsina Longobardipsychologist, sommelier and food & beverage expert, with the aim of bringing “normal” people closer to those who experience uncomfortable situations, breaking down the barrier of “fear” and promoting inclusion.

This year, the central theme will be “… once upon a time we were there!”, an invitation to rediscover authenticity and simplicity in a world dominated by appearances. Food, which has always been an element of connection and tradition, becomes the protagonist of a sensorial journey that celebrates Campania, its gastronomic excellences and its unparalleled historical-cultural heritage. In addition to the renowned chefs and the many VIPs, the protagonists of the evening will be: the kids from the “Viviani” hotel institute in Castellammare di Stabia, the future of Campania catering; the AIS Vesuvian Municipalities; the Consortium of Penisola Sorrentina PDO wines; the kids from the Don Orione center in Ercolano; the children of the Rugiada cooperative in Castellammare di Stabia.
