Tens of thousands of fileswith child pornographic contentput up for sale and purchased via a well-known messaging platform: this is what was discovered during ainvestigation carried out by the postal police and which led toarrest of a 46 year old originally from San Teodoro.
In recent days the officers of the Sassari postal policeby decree of the Apulian Prosecutor’s Office, have searched his home finding on his digital media (PCs, smartphones and hard drives) thousands of photos and videos with newborns and children under ten years of age victims of sexual violence.
The man was arrested in flagrante delicto and taken to prison.
In handcuffs also an 27 year old from the province of Frosinoneand 13 search decrees issued by the Bari prosecutor’s office against as many suspects in the provinces of Barletta-Andria-Trani, Caserta, Como, Cuneo, Frosinone, Palermo, Reggio Emilia, Rome, Sassari, Viterbo.
The activity, conducted in detail by the operational center for cyber security – Puglia Postal and Communications Police with the coordination of the National Center for the fight against online child pornography (Cncpo) of the postal police service and for cyber security, led to the seizure of numerous IT devices which will be the subject of subsequent forensic analysis.
