“Some ideas from Maria Vittoria’s program – explains Portesani at the end of the meeting – they will be welcomed into the program of my coalition and in the event of my election I will take advantage of the willingness you have already expressed to collaborate in defining the program of my administration. During the meeting we unanimously ruled out formalizing a relationship, also for reasons of coherence of Maria Vittoria Ceraso’s political path. The respect I developed for her during the electoral campaign, her transversality and her skills will be the right premises for a real collaboration with her“.
“The programmatic convergence and the acceptance of some ideas contained in the ‘Today for Tomorrow’ program will be able to expand the program of the centre-right coalition, in the interest of the citizens of Cremona. Also on this aspect I found full agreement with Maria Vittoria. No agreement, no alignment, but the possibility of a common project, which gives Cremona the administrative discontinuity it needs“.
“We both want a family-friendly city, policies in favor of birth rates and for young people, promotion of parenthood also through adoptions. These are the main points on which I intend to start a programmatic expansion with Maria Vittoria Ceraso new councilor of the civic list ‘Today for Tomorrow’. These are also priority issues for the entire centre-right coalition that I represent“.
“After the possible election, in complete respect of the different identities, a round table will be started to integrate our program with the proposals of ‘Today for Tomorrow’.- continues Portesani –There are many common themes and interventions to be implemented to make Cremona ‘family-friendly’: school, education and training, home, street furniture, tariffs, taxes, transport, quality of life, safety, health. With a careful eye also on the increasingly numerous cases of single-parent families with minor children. As well as other fragile situations linked to families with disabled or elderly people“.
“Another chapter of great programmatic interest for us is that of birth incentives, with important tools included in the ‘Today for Tomorrow’ program”comments Portesani. “We consider the tools proposed to be fundamental; early childhood services ensuring maximum accessibility with respect to available places, fees, flexibility of hours) nurseries and nursery schools; diversified and integrative services for families’ care capabilities also managed by family associations or volunteering, company nurseries; summer and after-school centres; maternal and paternal parental leave, the organization of public office, transport and municipal services timetables aimed at harmonizing family time with the different needs in the field and supporting the activities of public and private family counseling centers”.
“We want, adds Portesani, to discuss to find a synthesis on another fundamental chapter such as that of school. As with Maria Vittoria Ceraso, we want to continue investing in school orientation; monitor and identify forms of combating school abandonment; increase funds on the right to education to be allocated to schools for shared projects“.
“These are just some of the issues on which a programmatic enlargement is central for us“, concludes Portesani. “Others can be placed on the table in full sunlight and with respect for different identities. I believe that the programmatic contribution of ‘Today for Tomorrow’, the political experience and skills of Maria Vittoria can be an added value for our city”.
