In the morning of Saturday 15 Juneat 2nd Cadet Marshals and Brigadiers Regiment of the Carabinieri of Velletri, the solemn ceremony will be held Oath ceremony and awarding of Alamari to the students of the course started in recent months. The ceremony will begin with the deployment of the Regiment under the orders of the Commander, followed by honors to the City Banner, the School Flag and the authorities present. Subsequently, the Day of the Gold Medals for Military Valor will be celebrated, before moving on to the moment of the oath and the awarding of the frogs to the marshal students. The ceremony will end with honors to the fallen; there will be no lack of honors for Salvo D’Acquisto, nor obviously the Mameli Hymn.
300 young students will be involved, who for months have experienced the first intense phase of their life in the Carabinieri in Velletri. The event will take place in the presence of civil authorities, including the mayor of Velletri, military and religious figures, family members of the students, representatives of the Arms and Combat Associations, volunteer groups, school groups and many friends of the Carabinieri .
The tradition of this ceremony in Velletri dates back to 1969, when the then 1st Non-Commissioned Officer Cadet Battalion, coming from Moncalieri (To), found its headquarters in the ancient Royal Castle. Since then, thousands of people from every region of Italy have participated in this important event, guests of a Velletri which is honored by the presence of this prestigious Department. T
Since its establishment, the barracks has seen various evolutions: in 1994, it became the 1st Marshal and Brigadier Cadet Regiment, and in 2001 it welcomed the first female marshals, introducing the bachelor’s degree in “Security Legal Sciences”. In every corner of Italy, where there is a Carabinieri marshal, you can be certain that he most likely received his training in Velletri, in the classrooms of the “D’Acquisto”, which in 45 years of activity have seen over 40,000 students.
