“I received some parents from the Ellera Institute in Viterbo – explains Somigli – who asked me, in my capacity as national manager of the Uil school, a confederal trade union, to intervene with the mayor Chiara Frontini, in order to represent their opposition to a choice that was decidedly not adequate that the mayor is preparing to implement following the Pnrr renovation works which will begin shortly at the Ellera Institute. The new, presumed, headquarters in Viale Trento is not adequate for the needs of children”.
“For a whole series of reasons – continues Somigli – that, reasonably, the mayor should assume, from her seat, a seat that certainly guarantees common sense, reasonableness and foresight. This is not about not having children and therefore not being interested in issues relating to the social and cultural pedagogy of the city”.
“It is not a question of carrying out analyzes on the main systems that should regulate educational processes – adds Somigli -. Instead, it is a question of guaranteeing the collective well-being of a school, of compulsory schooling on the part of those who, instead, are specifically and solely responsible for representing the most favorable and effective conditions so that every child and all children can be protected precisely by their mayor. School is a second home for a primary school child, being tossed around during school is not exactly appropriate, but even more so in a context like Viale Trento, which has nothing to do with primary school and even less with the educational dimension. that is, with educational and behavioral models”.
“Moreover, should I point out – concludes Silvia Somigli – a gym that is absent and in any case external to the school? at which the children should go, leaving the “school” crossing the road, with the station traffic, to carry out motor activities”.
