one-year contract for the coach – Telesveva News

Team Altamura has a new coach. Domenico Giacomarro’s successor will be Daniele Di Donato. The 47-year-old originally from Giulianova found an agreement with the Murgia club on Saturday morning, having returned to professional football 27 years after the last time and intending to do things well. After three years in Latina, which coincided at its dawn with the Pontine club’s repechage in Serie C, the coach is ready for his first experience in Puglia. His name is the one that convinced sporting director Andrea Grammatica and the Altamura management at the end of a series of surveys that involved varied profiles such as those of Ivan Tisci, Roberto Taurino, Marco Marchionni, Enzo Maiuri and Massimo Pavanel, touching but quickly putting back in the drawer the idea of being able to reach Andrea Dossena, now linked to Spal and Ascoli.

Di Donato, a former midfielder born in 1977 who wore the shirts of Siena, Palermo and Ascoli among others, left playing football in 2014. Three years later he faced his first experience as a coach, in Serie D on the bench of Jesina, however, facing the disappointment of relegation through the play-outs. Arzignano, where he took the place of Vincenzo Italiano to whom many insiders compare him for ideas and concepts, was the stage of the relaunch: with the Vicenza team he won Serie D, thus gaining promotion to Serie C. The next two experiences with Arezzo and Vis Pesaro, concluded with a ninth and fourteenth place in Serie C, outlined the technical identity of the coach before the long experience in Latina: twelfth place as newly promoted at the first attempt, eighth with participation in the playoffs a year later. The season recently left behind for Di Donato in Latina was interrupted on the 21st matchday, after a 2-0 defeat in Potenza. Now his starting point is called Altamura. Annual contract in your pocket and a great desire to get back into the game in your baggage. The second half of June thus begins for the Team with renewed certainties on a technical level. Meanwhile, there is also the stadium plan to be played out: on Tuesday 18 June at 7pm a press conference hosted by the Council Chamber of the Municipality will put on the table the delivery times of the works at the D’Angelo and the club’s corporate plans for next season.
