Having arrived at the River Cave in Genga, located in the province of Ancona, the man did not return after a long time. The companion would have raised the alarm by communicating that the man had not yet returned home. Searches to find the man appear to have begun at 9pm.
Based on what was found, the 52-year-old was found late in the evening, after a few hours of searching. He appears to have been found in excellent health conditions. From what was communicated, he would have lost his orientation and would not have been able to locate the exit of the cave.
