The “acute announcement syndrome of the D’Alberto administration”. Lots of promises, but the projects remain stagnant

Councilor Antonio Filipponi, in perfect line with the extended times of the D’Alberto administration, announces the possibility of transforming the science park into a science theater.

In the meantime, I want to underline how, once again, we find ourselves faced with what even Maestro Andrea Castagna, in his irrevocable resignation to the Board of Directors of Primo Riccitelli as councilor representing the municipal majority, recalled as “acute announcement syndrome ”.

The optimism of this administration, famous for the construction sites now at a standstill and well behind the promises, is truly striking enough to announce works on the science park which, again according to the councilor, will be completed in approximately 3/4 months. As well as the structure that should be built near the Teramo Court which would be built in a year, maximum a year and a half… even if, to date, the project has not yet been presented!

We have not only a problem of institutional political credibility, but also a problem regarding the allocation of resources (public reminder) and the feasibility of projects which, who knows why, never come to an end.

Change the destination of the science park which currently hosts various activities and offices as well as the city council (provided it is convened again given that on this front too the times are undemocratically dilated) sees my opposition.

The venue is far from suitable to serve as a theater and the external spaces to ensure correct traffic (including parking) are inadequate. But the inefficiency of this administration must be addressed, incapable of foreseeing, in the right time, alternatives to the closure of the Teramo Municipal Theatre. We clumsily run for cover. It is always the community, the territory, that pays the costs.

I wonder, if the works at the science park are carried out, if the Mayor has already thought about where the City Council will be moved given that the original headquarters has still been propped up since 2017 with the consequence, for citizens, of paying a high rent rent for necessarily located offices.

I am worried about what now seem to be insurmountable problems in a municipality managed in an improvised manner. I will continue to draw attention to the sense of responsibility and the need to bring politics back to the level of facts and not promises.

Maestro Castagna’s resignation represents a thermometer, entirely internal to the majority, of the management of culture in Teramo. A mismanagement that aligns with the numerous issues that have been floating in the city’s discontent for months: parking, planning of greenery and decoration, reconstruction, public construction sites, safety and anti-seismic adaptation of municipal schools.
