“The central Mediterranean is affected by a high pressure promontory of African origin, which is bringing hot conditions to the Italian peninsula. At the same time, a cold drop is isolated over Spain and progressively moves eastwards. Piedmont is on the edge of the anticyclone which guarantees stable conditions for today. Light cloud cover and an opaque atmosphere due to the advection of Saharan dust cause moderately warm conditions“: these are the forecast regional, as reported in the bulletin of Harp Piedmont. “L’increased instability and the first advective precipitations in the morning of Tomorrow they predict the change of circulation, and in the afternoon evening the first more intense storms are expected along the Alpine range. The morning of Friday presents the greatest instability, largely determined by the cold air associated with the depression that crosses the Alps, causing even strong thunderstorms in the north-western areas“.
According to the regional Arpa weather forecast, in Piedmont Tomorrow Generally cloudy skies are expected with more substantial clouds in the Alpine mountain and foothill sectors. Precipitation in the morning advective precipitation with showers and thunderstorms generally weak or moderate in the Alps, light rain or drizzle on the western plains; in the afternoon, activation of showers and thunderstorms along the Alpine arc, even moderate or strong, more likely in the north of the region, where more organized phenomena with gusts of wind and hail may activate during the night. Thermal zero progressively decreasing up to 4000 m north and 4200 m south. Minimum temperatures increasing, maximum temperatures decreasing. Moderate or strong winds from the south-southwest in the Alps, weak or locally moderate in the Apennines, initially from the west rotating from the south in the central hours; on the plains weak, locally moderated from east-northeast.
