VITERBO – From 15 to 23 June the painting exhibition by Valerio Ferranti at the Museo dei Portici in Palazzo dei Priori. The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Viterbo, will be inaugurated this Saturday 15th at 4pm, in the presence of the artist and the vice mayor and councilor for culture and education Alfonso Antoniozzi. The works will be exhibited in the rooms of Sebastiano del Piombo.

“With this research of mine – explains the author of the works Valerio Ferranti – I would like to give an image to paranoia, scrutinize the horizon of life, lay bare the ES of society trying to grasp the emotions and sensations of the individual: understand everything that is latent in him and possibly search for that key to access the thousand facets of feelings. Without presumption – adds the surrealist painter – I allowed myself to give substance to the abstract by trying to dress the anguish, the fear, the lie, the doubt, putting the being in front of the mirror and looking at its content and, with a pinch of arrogance, dressing even dreams”.

In his biography we read: Valerio Ferranti “Viales” was born in Lanuvio (RM). Surrealist painter, he began as a graphic designer with the technique of drawing and ink in particular. Curiosity and audacity in daring lead him to study man depicted as a defective and incomplete being and the environment he built. Tenacity, the obsessive search for perfection and attention to detail make him acquire the necessary confidence that leads him to compare himself with other artists. With oil painting he found favor with the public. He exhibits in numerous places in Italy with personal and collective exhibitions, and has also received numerous prizes and recognitions over the years. Ferranti’s works are present in private collections. He lives and works in Rome (www.art-iglio.it).

The exhibition can be visited during the museum’s opening hours, i.e. from Monday to Friday, from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to 7pm, on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 7pm, with last entry at 6pm. Entrance is free for residents of the municipal area, children under 12, disabled people and Viterbo school groups.
