Mille Miglia 2024, the passage from Garda and the arrival in Brescia

A dive where the water is bluer. It will be a huge crowd on Lake Garda, which will welcome the cars of the One thousand miles Saturday 15 May in the late morningimmediately before their arrival in Brescia.

A series of stamp checks will mark the passage of the “most beautiful race in the world” on the banks of Benaco in its most iconic locations, which promise to be packed as always with enthusiasts and the curious. Although this year, as in 2021, the route will be in the opposite directionfrom south to north: a triumphal walkway towards the finish line, between expanses of olive trees and rows of vines.

Veneto

Coming from Villafrancathe Red Arrow will cross Peschiera, the last municipality in the Veneto, to head towards the Sirmione peninsula, where you begin to breathe the air of home. Along via Verona, in the hamlet of Lugana, and then via Colombare, via XXV Aprile and viale Marconi, certainly festively decorated and teeming with convivial tables, the crews will reach Piazzale Porto, on the threshold of the historic centre.

Lombardy

Stamp and Callas rose for ladies competing in the shadow of the Scaliger castle, as in the best of traditions, and then turning around along the same route, towards Desenzano. From the «Pearl» to the «Capital» of Garda the «old ladies» will arrive along via Brescia, via Agello, viale Motta, via Dal Molin and via Anelli, right where the Tour of Italyup to the stamp control on the Cesare Battisti lakefront.

The next one will be in Valtènesi, in the port of Lido di Manerba del Gardaafter passing through the center of Padenghe (via Barbieri, via Chiesa, via Speri, via Rovetta, via Posserle) and Moniga (via Roma, via Carlo Alberto, via Magenta). The gulf of Manerba will therefore see the racing cars of yesteryear whizzing by San Felice del Benaco (via XX Settembre, via Marconi), then they will head to the hamlets of Portese, Cisano and on the legendary curves of the Zette di Salofamous for the historic speed race on the Garda Circuit.

There Capital of the Magnificent Homeland will be the last protagonist of this long journey: the cars will arrive in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele to make their entrance on the Zanardelli lakeside, parading between the terraces of the city premises, up to Piazza della Vittoria for the last race stamp check. From Calata del Carmine, they will then go up to the historic centre, with a route parallel to the lakeside (via Fantoni and via San Carlo) up to the Clock Tower, and then take via Garibaldi, via Bossi and viale Papa Paolo VI, which will take them to the entrance to the SS45bis in the direction of Brescia, through the Valsabbia.
