Graduates in Pisa work and earn more

There degree from the University of Pisa ensures a high employment rate and higher earnings than both the Tuscan and national averages. The assures it XXVI Report on the profile and employment status of graduatespresented at the University of Trieste by AlmaLaureathe inter-university consortium to which 78 universities belong.

The survey on employment conditions covered the whole more than 113 thousand graduates of the University of Pisa. As for the three-year graduatesThe employment rate one year after graduation it is 72.8%; among these, more than 32% can count on permanent employment, while just under 28% have a fixed-term job; 11.3%, however, carry out their own business. The positive fact is that the average salary of Pisan graduates, of 1,405 euros net per month, is in line with the average for Tuscany (1,419 euros) and higher than the national average (1,384 euros).

For the two-year master’s degrees, the one-year employment rate instead rises to 77.5%, in line with the average for Tuscany and higher than the Italian average (75.7%). For those who have completed the specialization the average salary is also higher: 1,476 euros per month netcompared to 1,416 euros in Tuscany and 1,432 euros on a national basis.

At five years old finally, after obtaining the qualification, the employment rate rises to 90.8% for Pisa compared to a national average of 88.2% with an increase also in the net monthly salary which for Pisa is equal to 1,819 euros per month against the 1,755 euros at regional level and the 1,768 euros of the national average.

“The AlmaLaurea data are very encouraging again this year – declared the professor Laura Elisa Marcuccidelegate of the rector for orientation activities – because they demonstrate once again how the boys and girls who choose the University of Pisa for their studies do a winning choice in building their life path. Certainly the most impressive data is the employment rate 5 years after graduation, equal to 90.8%, without significant variations between the various disciplinary areas and, even more importantly, without large differences between men and women”.
