A new operation against child pornography conducted by the postal police has led to the arrest of nine arrests throughout the country in flagrante delicto, one of these also in Tuscany in Florence. 26 people were investigated for possession and dissemination of child pornography material, subjected to personal and computer searches, and here too unfortunately our region is once again involved, two cases, one in Livorno and one in Prato. Thousands of files seized, exchanges of horrifying images and videos, with abuse even of very young children. The investigations, coordinated by the National Center for combating online child pornography, began with a complex computer analysis activity on some electronic devices seized from a suspect, arrested months ago, on which – within a messaging platform – they had been found groups dedicated to exchanging images and videos. The investigations led to the identification of the subjects active in the groups. Thus, searches were carried out with the collaboration of the various operational centers for cyber security of the Postal Police. The material found and seized during the searches is being examined by the Catania District Prosecutor’s Office which coordinated the operation and by the Postal Police for further investigation.
