The FIGC Prosecutor’s Office has archived “at the state of the proceedings” the open file on the transfer of ownership of Milan from Elliott to RedBird

Milan investigation, the story

The federal prosecutor’s office, we read, had requested the documents from Milan in mid-March and had soon obtained the search warrant carried out as part of the investigation into the sale of Milan from Elliott to RedBird in August 2022. A 12-page document that contained the hypothesis of crime against Giorgio Furlani and Ivan Gazidis, current and previous CEO of Milan: obstacle to the exercise of the functions of the public supervisory authorities. The Prosecutor’s Office in that document hypothesized that Milan was still under the control of Elliott, the old owner with whom the club won the Scudetto in May 2022.

Everything could be reopened in one case

The Financial Police, we read, has acquired many documents and files which are being analyzed in recent weeks. Previously, in April 2023, searches had been carried out in Luxembourg (in the offices of Project RedBlack and Rossoneri Sport) with bankruptcy as a possible crime. La Rosaa also explains the definition “at the state of the documents”: if the recent documents brought to light new evidence, the federal prosecutor’s office would return to request documents from Milan and the file could be reopened.
