It will be an intense month of sports and cultural events proposed by “Fiumicino Beach Village 2024”the planned sports and entertainment event until July 14th at the free beach of Lungomare della Salute in Fiumicino.
The event, promoted by the Department of Sport and Culture, is organized by the ASD Club Italia Eventi, which involved the construction of a village and an arena, complete with grandstand, where it will be possible to participate in exciting exhibitions and tournaments of some of the most famous sports practiced on the beach such as beach tennis, sandbasketball, beach volleyball and beach rugby. Together with the sporting performances, evenings of music, cabaret, dance, entertainment and solidarity are planned, as well as the possibility of attending European championship matches, in particular the national team.
“For an entire month there will be a succession of sporting events and recreational and cultural initiatives in a village set up for this purpose by the ASD Club Italia Eventi which will allow the practice and knowledge of the most diverse summer sports – declared the Councilor for Sport Federica Poggio – In fact, we will start from the weekend with the international beach soccer tournament and many other initiatives including sports, entertainment, live music and DJ sets that will color and enliven the location. Special thanks to all the sports associations in the area who joined the event, contributing to enriching a full calendar of initiatives including competitions, games, fitness and fun for everyone”.
The President of the ASD Club Italia Eventi Eugenio Marchina presented, thanks to the hosting of the actor Fabio Avaro, the entire program of the Fiumicino Beach Village which will open with the Sky Sport tournament “International beach soccer tour”, organized by the IBS league which will see Italy, Brazil, Romania and Egypt compete. Beach soccer, which arrived in our nation over twenty years ago, is an exciting game that enhances the technical characteristics and physical potential of its protagonists.
Dance will also find space in the arena with beach dance performances by ASD New Free Dance and beach rugby scheduled for June 22nd. The following day you will be able to attend Sand Basket tournaments, the game of basketball on the sand appreciated and known nationally. At the end of June there will be events included in the FIT Beach Tennis circuit, with tournaments and exhibitions for men and women.
July 6th and 7th you will be able to get to know the game of footvolley up close, born on the sunny Brazilian coasts and rapidly spreading to all countries of the world, exciting athletes of all ages. On the sand of Fiumicino Volleyball you will be able to witness overhead kicks, shoulder shots and shark attacks which make this discipline highly spectacular. July 8th will be dedicated to boxing with the setting up of rings, platforms and tatami to participate in matches, local meetings, training and performances of various disciplines such as boxing, kick boxing, Thai boxing and personal defence, for the youth, men’s and women, all coordinated by the ASD Modus Vivendi Boxe. The following day there will be space for solidarity with inclusive sport, which welcomes and values different abilities. The day will be organized by AISA Sport and local entities, to develop educational potential through play as a vehicle for the diffusion of ethical and social values.
The initiative makes use of the collaboration of all sports federations and national sports promotion bodiesas well as various sports clubs and associations in the area who provided their fullest collaboration for the organization of the calendar of events proposed by the sports village.
